Hi, I’m Joy. Thanks for visiting! Allow me to introduce myself. First, the short version — I bring a balanced blend of experience and personality to event planning and design. With a passion to excel and the creativity to make it happen, I go out of my way to make sure each event is flawless.
After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Elmhurst College, I served over a decade as an Executive Assistant at a Fortune 500 company. Experience in this fast paced environment helped me master the skills of time management, multitasking, and customer service as a top priority. My passion to provide superb service was ignited there, and would eventually illuminate a new creative path into the event planning and design field.
Raised by loving parents as the oldest of three children, I’m known for my nurturing ways — befriending and taking care of those in my path. These days, I have a wonderful husband and three beautiful children. When I’m not working an event, you may find me hanging out with the family, window shopping with my sister, or getting some me time at the day spa.
My dedication, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure help me overcome all obstacles on the way to amazing events. I constantly strive to top the last event. I love what I do and wouldn’t change it for the world. What started as a dream has become a reality. Joy Jones Planning & Design Co. is not only my career but my passion.
